We all felt so modern and knew how to live in this world. It was more about how something looked like what it actually was.

The raw material is the starting point.  In its unprocessed state, something raw is not only something uncivilised but also the promise that something can be formed.

ROH is the beginning, the end and the beginning. Images of the continuously rotating earth are developed, artefacts from pre-human prehistory are formed, excerpts of humanity, its beginning and its downfall. The objects are characterised by gluttony, resentment and the fantastic apocalyptic mood of a Roland Emmerich movie. What remains is a slightly dirty feeling of fullness and the certainty that everything has been there before.

The waves on the coasts will never stop and the sand will always be wet even after us.
